  • Pop-Up blockers can stop a new tab with your guide opening. You can add an exception to your Pop-Up blocker to solve this problem. See the instructions below.

How do I update the card used to pay for my subscription renewal?

How do I cancel my subscription?

  • Please advise us at least three days prior to your next renewal date that you wish to cancel your subscription. To do this, use the contact us page, and include your store name, your personal name and a short note requesting that we cancel your subscription.
  • If possible, a reason for your cancellation would also be appreciated.

How many users can I have on a single subscription?

  • A Country Guides subscription allows up to eight users from the one geographic office. A home based subscription allows only one user.
  • If you require more users, please contact us, letting us know the number of users you require and we will advise the subscription cost.

Guide Branding

How do I update my store details?

  • Store details may only be updated by authorised users. To do this log into your Country Guides account, and select the tab “My Store Details”. Here you will be able to alter all the store specific information.

How do I change the text colour in my guides?

  • The heading text colour in the guides is determined by “Colour A”, which is set in the “My Store Details” tab.

What are the best settings to upload my logo?

  • Logos uploaded to the site are automatically resized to fit on the guides. This can result in logos appearing squashed vertically or horizontally depending on their aspect ratio.
  • For best results, logos should be:
    • in JPEG format.
    • on a white background.
    • aligned to the top left corner.
    • have an aspect ratio of 323 pixels wide and 162 pixels high.
  • If you are unhappy with how your logo appears on your guide, please send us a copy of your logo via the contact page. We can then properly align this on your behalf.

Email Guides

How can I email a guide directly from the site?

  • Emailing a guide is quick and easy, just select “Email a Guide” from the menu, complete the form, and hit send. You can find more detailed instructions here.

How can I email multiple guides at the same time?

  • Before you can email multiple guides at the same you same time, you must first create a guide set.
  • Once a guide set is created, you can then email these guides as at the same time.

Guide Content

Do you list information for passport holders other than Australian?

  • Every Country Guide is designed for Australian Passport holders. In some circumstances we may also include information for New Zealand passport holders if they have the same requirements as Australians.

The Country Guides I require is not available. Can you help me with information?

  • We do not publish guides for every country in the world. The countries we do list are the ones we have determined are the most visited countries by Australians. With 111 countries and two special regions covered, we believe that we cover over 97% of international trips made by Australians each year (We currently have a reduced number of guides on the site, but we will continue to add guides as more countries open up to tourism following the COVID-19 pandemic).
  • To register your request for a new guide, please login to the Country Guides site and select “Request a Guide” in the top right hand corner. Your vote helps us determine what guides to produce next and allows us to inform you if and when your requested Country Guide is published.
  • We cannot provide advice on countries for which we do not produce a guide, as we need to apply a rigorous sourcing and vetting procedure to all the information we publish.

Advertising

Do you place advertising inside the guides?

  • No. Our goal is to produce a guide that can be used by all travel agencies regardless of any preferred supplier agreements they may have in place. Thus we do not and will never place advertisements inside of the Country Guides.
  • We do however in some circumstances provide links to help clients find more information on the topic at hand. These include links to the Travel Doctor for health related information, to Korjo for information on electrical adaptors and to various government departments. We do not receive any financial benefit from the links that appear in the Country Guides.

Why is there advertising on your website now?

  • Due to the financial impacts of the COVID pandemic, we have decided to offer advertising inside our website (not our guides). These advertisements are designed to help us recover some of the revenue lost when we suspended all subscriptions during the Australian international border closures.
  • All adverts placed are from tourism providers promoting their products to Australian Travel Agents.
  • We do not carry advertisements from tourism recruitment agencies.

General

Can I put a link to country guides on my site?

  • No, Country Guides are designed to be accessed by travel agents and provided to their clients.
  • However you are allowed to publish up to two static Country Guides on your site as an example of the service which your office provides to clients.

Can you provide API access to the guides?

  • Yes our system can generate your fully branded Country Guides via an API request. To request your unique API key, please contact us.
